Team

The team at Esland Doncaster School have been handpicked to deliver the best education and therapeutic care for our students.

Our headteacher, Christine Sherman is a highly experienced leader with over 24 years in SEN (special educational needs) provisions, having worked in all through and post-16 SEN specialist provisions her whole career. She’s joined by an excellent team with a range of experience, skills and talents that support and build the foundations of the school.

The team includes a SENDCO (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator), a selection of teachers from all Key Stages, support staff and tutors. They each have a wide range of specialisms, including SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), core curriculum subjects, well-being, trauma, vocational learning, behaviour support, and creative arts.

Together, they form a dedicated network of support for our students, and the care, knowledge, and guidance they provide play a pivotal role in their future success.
